Spent two weeks in Louisiana to kick off the New Year, It culminated with a week of busy showcases at Folk Alliance International in New Orleans. The conference felt powerful in these times of divisian and uncertainty, and made clear once again that music connects us so deeply, and carries the voices and stories of all people. An eternal flame of humanity, torches passed down through generations. Still processing all the incredible things I took in, the friends that soulfully played with me and the beautiful connections that were made and renewed.

Back in Winnipeg now, I begin work on my next record in just a few short weeks. Excited and nervous and hopeful and confident, all of that. First, there’s a giant to-do list to get through haha.
